Pinterest Optimize ("we", "our", "the Service") is a campaign management tool for e-commerce businesses that use Pinterest Ads. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

When you use Pinterest Optimize, we may collect:

• Account credentials — Shopify API tokens and Pinterest OAuth tokens that you provide to connect your stores.
• Store data — Product information, order data, and campaign performance metrics retrieved from your connected Shopify and Pinterest accounts.
• Audience data — Customer email addresses are hashed (SHA-256) before being sent to Pinterest for audience matching. We do not store plaintext email addresses.
• Usage data — Logs of actions performed within the tool (campaign creation, budget changes, etc.).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information solely to:

• Connect to and manage your Pinterest ad campaigns and Shopify stores.
• Create and optimize advertising audiences on Pinterest.
• Automate budget management and campaign scaling based on your configured rules.
• Display performance analytics within the dashboard.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Pinterest Data

We access Pinterest data through the official Pinterest API using OAuth 2.0 authentication. We request only the permissions necessary to manage your ad campaigns and audiences. Pinterest data is used exclusively for the advertising management features you configure.

4. Data Storage & Security

• API tokens are stored on a secured server with restricted access.
• All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption.
• Customer email data is hashed before transmission and is never stored in plaintext.
• Access to the dashboard is protected by authentication.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Store credentials and associated data are removed when you delete a store from the platform. You may request complete deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with:

• Pinterest API — For ad campaign and audience management.
• Shopify API — For product and order data retrieval.

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about your stores.
• Request deletion of your data.
